Zone 3 Africa Women’s Handball Tournament kicked off in Accra

 

The Africa Zone 3 Women’s Handball Tournament kicked off on April 11, 2023, in Accra, Ghana. The tournament brings together national women’s handball teams from West Africa, including Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria, and Togo. This year’s tournament promises to be an exciting event as teams compete for the chance to advance to the African Women’s Handball Championship, scheduled to take place later this year.

Africa Zone 3 Women’s Handball Tournament is an important event for handball in Africa. It provides a platform for women’s handball teams from the region to showcase their skills and compete at an international level. The tournament also offers an opportunity for the teams to gain experience and exposure, as well as to develop their players and coaching staff.

The tournament is being hosted by the Ghana Handball Association (GHA) and is being held at the newly built Ghana Handball Arena in Accra. The arena, which was completed in 2022, is a state-of-the-art facility that meets international standards. It has a seating capacity of 5,000 and features a playing surface made of the latest handball-specific flooring.

Africa Zone 3 Women’s Handball Tournament is a highly competitive event, and each team will be looking to give their best performance. The tournament provides an opportunity for the teams to assess their strengths and weaknesses, and to make any necessary adjustments before the African Women’s Handball Championship.
