Yaw Asane Tano, a prominent political analyst and critic, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of intentionally undermining Ghana’s institutions and causing widespread damage to the nation. Tano’s assertions have sparked a significant debate, drawing both support and criticism from various quarters.
The Political Analyst Mr Yaw Asane Tano pit oneself against the NPP Government that since they assumed power, their governance has been marked by actions that systematically diminish Ghana’s democratic institutions, economic stability, and social cohesion. He stated that the NPP’s policies and practices have not only failed to address critical issues but have exacerbated existing problems.
he insist that the NPP has deliberately undermined democratic institutions, including the judiciary, parliament, and independent oversight bodies. He cites instances of alleged political interference in judicial appointments and decisions, as well as the weakening of parliamentary oversight through the marginalization of opposition voices.
in the opinion of Mr Tano , the NPP’s economic policies have led to increased debt, inflation, and unemployment. He Also argues that the government’s reliance on external borrowing and its inability to effectively manage public finances have placed a heavy burden on future generations.
