Legendary Highlife musician Daddy Lumba on Wedneday, January 25th ,paid a courtesy call on the Inspectator general of Police Dr.George Akuffo Dampare at his office in Accra.
The visit, which was the legendary musician’s first at the headquarters since the appointment of Mr. Dampare, was to foster closer relations with the Police Service.
They discussed how he can join forces with the service, using his influence to promote peace, while showcasing the great works of the Police.
Sources close to the legendary highlife musician hinted that the other issue they spoke about was his current feud with gospel musician, Great Ampong and the CEO of Joy Daddy Bitters to the IGP.
One can recall that Daddy Lumba and Great Ampong were the talk of social and mainstream media a week ago when Music Producer Roro posted extracts of Onyame Akatua on his social media pages.
The song starts with Great Ampong talking about someone who has been punished by God with a health condition for swindling people.
Immediately, people perceive the song as Great Ampong’s response to Daddy Lumba’s Ofo Na Edi Asem Foo song released earlier in January 2023.
In another vine, the CEO of Joy Industries Limited in a viral video some months ago requested that Daddy Lumba return a customized vehicle he gave him years ago adding that the musician owes him some money.
Mr Manfred described artistes who once benefited financially from his company as ingrates, adding that most of them have turned their backs on him.
He singled out daddy Lumba among the many and he failed to honour an agreement they once had.
The source revealed that after the legendary musician had narrated the issue to the IGP, they all laughed over it.
